Maintenance Guide

Care & Use

D'Art and Ferfil cutlery is produced under strict quality control, utilizing the finest stainless steels available in the industry. Proper cleaning will ensure a long lifespan and an unaltered appearance of your flatware.

Follow these useful tips to maintain the original characteristics of your cutlery for years to come:

Immediate Cleaning

Cutlery should be washed immediately after use with plenty of water and a neutral, non-abrasive soap or detergent, either by hand or in a dishwasher. Once washed, it is important to dry the pieces thoroughly with a soft cloth or chamois.

Dishwasher Safe

When cleaning in a dishwasher, we recommend placing knives vertically with the blades facing up. In the case of dishwashers with a special cutlery tray, always follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Drying & Environment

It is highly advisable to remove and dry the cutlery from the dishwasher as soon as the wash cycle is complete. Saline water, combined with heat and humidity inside the machine, is not recommended for preserving the steel.

Scratch Prevention

Always avoid using metallic or synthetic scouring pads, abrasive sponges, or harsh chemicals that may permanently scratch or damage the surface of your pieces.

PVD pieces

We specifically recommend washing them in the dishwasher to best preserve their unique finish over time.
